A jet-setting pilot sought a departure from impersonal hotel stays, acquiring a pied-à-terre in Chicago’s vibrant Fulton River District. The challenge was to design a space that mirrored his lifestyle and passions while maximizing functionality within a compact footprint. Central to the design is a deep leather couch that creates coziness, while contemporary, clean-lined furnishings introduce a masculine edge without detracting from the expansive views offered by the floor-to-ceiling windows. What was once a modest city apartment is now a homey retreat.
