We worked closely with Chef Stephanie Izard to design a space that was young, fun and inviting. The desire was for it to feel like you are stepping into Chef Stephanie’s personal kitchen. The space is relatively small but perfect for hosting a few close friends or business colleagues for an event. The color palette came directly from the This Little Goat products. We wanted the products to pop and be the stars. We designed custom cabinetry in a rich walnut- but added texture and whimsy from a custom lime green grout on the backsplash. She also added a glossy magenta touch throughout that gave a vibrancy to the space. The sophistication of the walnut paired with bright colors was a way of mimicking the sophisticated pairings of the food and the relaxed atmosphere of a fun evening. Alice was inspired by multi-function furniture pieces often seen in Europe and Asia when designing the seating areas. The unique tables are mobile and when they’re not being used for dining, they can be slid over the island to create bar seating. This was something completely new and uniquely designed for the space.
